All four musicians are renowned performers on the Northwest jazz scene and familiar faces at Davenham\, where they’ve captivated audiences with their artistry and skill. \nThe quartet’s repertoire draws inspiration from legends such as Pat Metheny\, Egberto Gismonti\, and the Yellowjackets\, alongside many other contemporary jazz greats. Expect an exciting mix of lyrical melodies\, rich harmonies\, and dynamic improvisation. \nBand leader John Bailey earned his MA in Jazz Performance in 2010 and has since built a distinguished career as a guitarist\, composer\, and educator. He currently collaborates with Alex James (Blur) on the acclaimed Britpop Classical project\, performing with artists including Saffron (Republica)\, Gary Stringer (Reef)\, and Travis.A long-standing guitarist for Russell Watson and Aled Jones\, John’s credits span classical\, jazz\, and popular music. DESCRIPTION:Little Sparrow and Tracey Browne\nLittle Sparrow\n\nLittle Sparrow is singer/songwriter Katie Ware\, a title that came from Elbow front man Guy Garvey\, affectionately calling her ‘Cockney Sparrow’ it lead onto her stage name ‘Little Sparrow’. \nDrawing influences from the likes of Kate Bush\, PJ Harvey and All About Eve\, Little Sparrow’s music creates songs that are filled with a blend of styles woven into the colourful tapestry of her music\, often with a mysterious fairy tale quality. \nThe critically acclaimed debut album ‘Wishing Tree’ had regular airplay on BBC Introducing\, BBC 6 Music and BBC Radio 2 as well as regular regional and international radio plays. \nShe has supported established folk favourites such as Kathryn Roberts & Sean Lakeman\, Blue Rose Code\, The Cadbury Sisters and Beth Rowley – over recent years she has opened for Eddi Reader\, Ian McCulloch (Echo and the Bunnymen) and Mike Scott (The Waterboys). \n“A breathtaking vocalist delivering original and beautiful songs. She trained as a recording engineer under Tom Knott of The Earlies and this gave her the skills and opportunity to work on new music of her own.
