SUMMARY:Play Reading - Motherhood
DESCRIPTION:This month’s play reading is a special one because it is a read through of our forthcoming production ‘Motherhood’ written by Felicity Barry\, directed by Denise Barry\, Felicity’s mother-in-law and presented on stage at Davenham in October. \nMotherhood has an all female cast and deals with mother and daughter relationships from the 1950s and present day. Davenham members attended workshops last year to explore their own memories and experiences of childhood and family life. These workshops resulted in a piece of new writing which is both heartwarming and thought-provoking. Interestingly\, director Denise plans to have an all-female backstage crew as well as an all-female cast! So come along if you are interested in helping out in any way.

DESCRIPTION:(FEMALE) AUDITION CALL !\nDenise is holding an audition on Sunday 16th July at the theatre from 4:00pm to 6:00pm for our production ‘Motherhood‘ to be performed 17th to 21st October this year. The setting is a two-up two-down terraced house in 1954 and 2011. \nThe cast to be recruited is:- \n\n 2 females ages  60s\n 1  female 50s\n 1 female  40s\n 2 females late 20s – early 30s\n\nGloria (60s) is know-it-all mother in law to long suffering\nClare (20s – early 30s)\nSusannah (60s) – Clare’s mum\, later to suffer onset of dementia.\nBetty (20s – early 30s) a mum in the 1950s.\nDot (40s) Betty ‘s sister.\nMabel (late 50s) mother to Betty and Dot in the 1950s \nMotherhood has an all female cast and deals with mother and daughter relationships from the 1950s and present day.
