Working mainly with standards\, traditional jazz and the American songbook\, Lucy has a special focus on scat vocal improvisation\, with an attack that doesn’t shy into a breathy corner. Lucy is inspired by those who work with their voice as instrument – and takes cues from male blues shouters and horn instrumentalists as much as the smooth tones of the female leading lights .
