DESCRIPTION:Mike Hall was Musical and Artistic Director at the Royal Northern College of Music Big Band for 20 years. He then decided to channel his love of larger jazz groups into an the formation of an octet – `Boplicity` \nThe initial core of the band`s repertoire was along the lines of the West Coast jazz groups of the 1950s; Dave Pell\, Gerry Mulligan et al.
