Two kindred spirits with an irrepressible will to play ‘no nonsense’ jazz\, tinged with blues and soul. \nThey will be playing a selection of well chosen standards\, as well as a few originals\, delivered with a reverence for the past masters whilst putting their own spin on the music. \nLIBOR SMOLDAS Libor Šmoldas is a Prague based jazz guitarist and composer who has worked and recorded with international stars such as James Morrison\, George Mraz\, Jeff Ballard\, Sam Yahel\, Bobby Watson\, Adam Nussbaum\, Brian Charette\, Jay Anderson\, Stephen Keogh and more. \nHe has released eight albums as a leader. While playing with Ondrej Pivec and his Organic Quartet\, the band was awarded with Andel award for best jazz recording of the year. \nNIGEL PRICE \nOver a career spanning more than 30 years\, award winning jazz guitarist Nigel Price has become widely acknowledged as one of the most highly regarded and hardest working musicians in the business. \nHe has played on more than 60 albums including 10 as a leader\, spent ten years with acid jazz outfit The Filthy Six and was a member of James Taylor’s band for 3 years (with whom he recorded 5 albums). \nNigel has toured the UK 19 times\, and has picked up a Parliamentary Jazz Award (Best Jazz Ensemble\, 2010)\, a nomination for a British Jazz Award (Best Guitarist\, 2014) and a British Jazz Award (Best Guitarist\, 2016) along the way. \nNigel is a regular performer at London’s Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club where he has made more than 600 appearances. \n=========================================================== \n\nThe box office is able to take bookings for one gig at a time\, but do make a note of the dates which are of interest to you during our forthcoming season so that you can make your bookings at the appropriate time. \n\n\n\nIf possible\, make your requests via email\, but don’t forget to give us a little bit of notice if you know that you are going to be unable to attend.  We appreciate that there will always be unavoidable\, unforeseen circumstances\, but clearly we want to make places available and fill all possible seats\, particularly for gigs in high demand. \n\n\n\nWe are not a profit making organisation\, but we do want to keep breaking even in order to keep music live. \n\n\n\nBooking Enquiries  Call Keith on 07990 703 787\nor email jazz@davenham.co\n\n\n\nPlease do not assume that your places are confirmed unless you have had a response from J@D and\, if you have not\, then contact us again \n\n\n\nDoors & Bar 7.30pm Gigs start @ 8pm\n   Tickets £15\n\n\n\nFrom JAZZ@DAVENHAM TEAM\nGREAT GIGS\nFABULOUS BANDS\nClick to see the full Jazz Programme
