DESCRIPTION:Good news about Sheila Hetherington’s theatre quiz is that the number of people we can accommodate is quite large\, so please feel free to invite your friends who may like to join in either as individuals or as part of a team. We really don’t mind who or how many are in a team so long as there is one point of contact for us per team. You can register for the quiz by sending an email to Bob and we will then assume you are the main point of contact. \nAll team members are welcome to join the Zoom meeting on the night so you may want to forward the link to members of your team other than the main point of contact. You could keep in contact with team members outside your home during the rounds by phone or WhatsApp. \nThe Zoom link will be sent to all main contacts before the event. Please be aware that Audio and Video input will be switched off for everyone (except for Sheila and myself) during each round but opened for reporting marks. This means that everyone in the Zoom session will be able to see and hear the questions\, but what they do or say will not be visible to others. \nI will be reading the questions and hosting the quiz as Sheila is not confident about her computer connectivity\, but I will not see the answers until the rest of you do. You will be marking your own answers and simply giving Sheila your score at the end of each round. Sheila will be doing the traditional ‘scores on the doors’ half way through the rounds when there will also be a picture round. The pictures will be shared via Zoom from my screen. \nLastly\, a note of caution – by all means include the people in your bubble in your ‘in house’ team\, but please do not use the quiz as encouragement to stretch the current lockdown rules in any way. \nThat’s all for now. \nLooking forward to a good turnout! \nBob.

But they didn’t stop… \nInstead they started to write\, set up online meetings and then record and edit their creations. \nTo launch the podcast\, on Thursday 1st October at 8:00pm we will share their first two episodes in a live stream via Zoom. Then we will do the same for the second two episodes on Thursday 15th October also at 8:00pm (separate booking required). \n*Please note that each episode is separate from all the others\, if you can’t make the first event\, it won’t affect your experience for the second. \nPlease join us as we look to bring an audience together\, virtually. You will be taken through time and space and even peek into a fictional version of Davenham Theatre itself! \nThere will be humour\, drama\, twists and turns. Hear the sea\, listen in on people’s lives and experience new\, but very familiar worlds. \n\n\nThe event is FREE and will be available to join via an online link once a ticket has been booked. DESCRIPTION:Hello all. \nI hope you are all well.  This is our first call for THIS Sunday.  I can’t quite believe it is here already.  It will be lots of fun and a chance to come along\, have a chat\, have a laugh and see what the plans are.  As ever\, don’t let the odd bit of unavailability put you off\, we can work with it. \nA couple of requests though for Sunday.  We are going to take some images for publicity.  Remember the theme is Time & Travel.  So I would like you to come equipped with any costume or props that might take us to (or at least suggest) another time\, era or place.  Anything is valid\, and nothing can be too much!   All will become clear! \nThe second request is bring any material (as in scripted\, written etc) you have so that we can begin putting it all together.  We only have a couple of weeks to do this so please get cracking! \nPlease PLEASE pass this on to anyone who may be interested in being involved.  This Sunday is to get things going\, others will still be welcome afterwards.  We hope to have plenty of things to share online from this Sunday to entice people to either be involved or to come to the show. \nHope this all makes sense.  Here’s Bill with the weather… \nTom

DESCRIPTION:If you saw our sell-out production of Dirty Dusting last year\, you may know what to expect from the same authors and same director (Maggie Innes). \n\nMo-tivators is the worst health and fitness club in the country. \nRun by Maureen a ‘big-boned’ fifty-something widow from a small hall in the middle of nowhere it only attracts clientele who have nothing better to do.\nThings seem to be on the up when Sophie\, a researcher for a reality TV programme\, comes to check out the club but when a snowstorm arrives it brings with it revelations which will change their lives forever in this comedy about friendship\, frostbite and French fries.\n\nIt’s going to be a fun production for audience and crew so book in early as soon as tickets go on sale! \nDavenham Players’ production of Waiting for Gateaux runs for 5 nights at 7:30pm on Monday 24th\, Tuesday 25th\, Wednesday 26th\, Friday 28th and Saturday 29 February 2020.
