DESCRIPTION:One of two audition nights Graham Hough is holding for his June production Farndale Murder Mystery. \nThe Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society Murder Mystery is a play for four women and one man set in a drawing room. Every drama group has experience the horrors of what can go wrong on the night and the ladies of the F.A.H.E.T.G. Dramatic Society are no different\, with the possible exception that almost everything that could happen does\, unfortunately\, happen. The scenery collapses\, cues are missed\, lines forgotten\, and the sound effects takes on a strange note at times\, as the ladies present their ambitions evening’s entertainment with the cunning whodunit. “Murder at Checkmate Manor”. And just in case the audience should get bored there’s a  Fashion Show and a Murder Mystery Quiz complete with Prize. The crunch comes in the denouement when the “murderer”\, about to be revealed has to rush home to bandage up an injured daughter. But Mrs Reece\, doyenne of the group\, rises above the slings and arrows of outrageous dramatics to save the situation and provide the final inventive twist. \nCast 4 female to play multiple parts and 1 Male\, ages mid 20+ \nPlay week 6th June. \nCasting readings 30th March 7.30 and 5th April. \nFor any more information or to let me know if you are interested or not please email graham@grahamhough.co.uk

Rise & Shine a factory worker with a child and sleeping partner trying to get ready for work in her crowded life and Where do little birds go about Lucy who gets caught up in 60s London as a teenager and is used by the Kray twins as a woman to “amuse” mad axeman Frank Mitchell while he is holed up in a London flat after being broken out of prison by the Krays. \nFranca Rame writing about her 2 plays says “The pieces are comic\, grotesque\, on purpose. First of all because we women have been crying for two thousand years. So let’s laugh now\, even at ourselves.” \nExtract from critics about Where do Little Birds Go?: \nThat day in the pub\, the day I first saw them\, they were dressed identically. Dark wool coats\, smart hats. The whole pub went quiet. It’s 1966. Lucy Fuller is 18 years old. She likes musicals and make up\, and her job at Winston’s night club. One night Lucy is kidnapped by the Kray twins and locked in a flat with an escaped murderer. This is the terrifying story of Lucy’s time with Ronnie\, Reggie\, and Frank “The Mad Axeman” Mitchell.
