DESCRIPTION:JOHN BAILEY QUARTET\nTHURSDAY 30TH APRIL 2026\n\nJoin us for an exceptional evening of jazz with The John Bailey Quartet. All four musicians are renowned performers on the Northwest jazz scene and familiar faces at Davenham\, where they’ve captivated audiences with their artistry and skill. \nThe quartet’s repertoire draws inspiration from legends such as Pat Metheny\, Egberto Gismonti\, and the Yellowjackets\, alongside many other contemporary jazz greats. Expect an exciting mix of lyrical melodies\, rich harmonies\, and dynamic improvisation. \nBand leader John Bailey earned his MA in Jazz Performance in 2010 and has since built a distinguished career as a guitarist\, composer\, and educator. He currently collaborates with Alex James (Blur) on the acclaimed Britpop Classical project\, performing with artists including Saffron (Republica)\, Gary Stringer (Reef)\, and Travis.A long-standing guitarist for Russell Watson and Aled Jones\, John’s credits span classical\, jazz\, and popular music.
