DESCRIPTION:Prepare to be taken through time and space via Davenham Theatre’s brand new podcast mini series!! Written & Produced during Lockdown 2020.\n \nAbout this Event\n\n\nIn March 2020 a group of Davenham Players began rehearsals for a performance of radio plays and sketches… and then\, like millions of people across the globe\, they had to stop. But they didn’t stop… \nInstead they started to write\, set up online meetings and then record and edit their creations. \nTo launch the podcast\, on Thursday 1st October at 8:00pm we will share their first two episodes in a live stream via Zoom. Then we will do the same for the second two episodes on Thursday 15th October also at 8:00pm (this requires a separate booking). \nPlease join us as we look to bring an audience together\, virtually. You will be taken through time and space and even peek into a fictional version of Davenham Theatre itself! \nThere will be humour\, drama\, twists and turns. Hear the sea\, listen in on people’s lives and experience new\, but very familiar worlds. \nThe event is FREE and will be available to join via an online link once a ticket has been booked. See below for booking links. \n\n\nNote that the event on 15th October is not a repeat – each evening comprises brand-new material\, so you will need to listen to both events to hear the whole thing. DESCRIPTION:Hello all. \nI hope you are all well.  This is our first call for THIS Sunday.  I can’t quite believe it is here already.  It will be lots of fun and a chance to come along\, have a chat\, have a laugh and see what the plans are.  As ever\, don’t let the odd bit of unavailability put you off\, we can work with it. \nA couple of requests though for Sunday.  We are going to take some images for publicity.  Remember the theme is Time & Travel.  So I would like you to come equipped with any costume or props that might take us to (or at least suggest) another time\, era or place.  Anything is valid\, and nothing can be too much!   All will become clear! \nThe second request is bring any material (as in scripted\, written etc) you have so that we can begin putting it all together.  We only have a couple of weeks to do this so please get cracking! \nPlease PLEASE pass this on to anyone who may be interested in being involved.  This Sunday is to get things going\, others will still be welcome afterwards.  We hope to have plenty of things to share online from this Sunday to entice people to either be involved or to come to the show. \nHope this all makes sense.  Here’s Bill with the weather… \nTom

He trained as a teacher of drama at Bretton Hall College. Whilst he was Head of Drama at Minsthorpe High School\, the school he attended as a student\, he won every major award at the National Student Drama Festival between 1981 and 1983. \nJohn’s plays are performed across the world. He has the distinction of being one of the most performed writers in the English language. He has won numerous awards for his plays\, including a Laurence Olivier Award and seven Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards.\nDirected by Paul Wilkinson for JAPE Productions\, the cast is made up of Jacqui Padden\, Peter Franksson and Alan Veale. All four reside in the North West and have performed professionally in and out of the area for many years.
