She came last year and she wowed us all – we just knew we had to have her back again. Dubbed as the ‘Queen of Cabaret’ (Libby Purves BBC Radio 4)\, Eve Ferret is regarded as one of the most original performers on the stage today – she spins cabaret on its head and back again! The biggest off personalities\, Eve is a singer\, songwriter\, actor\, comedian\, teller of stories and so much more. As an actor she is known for her work on Eastenders\, Haunted Honeymoon\, and Absolute Beginners (with David Bowie). Eve is ‘in pursuit of happiness for all’ and certainly achieves that wherever she goes. I think we can safely say that no one will leave the theatre after this event without a smile on their face and what a happy ending that will make for our festival! \nBook your ticket/s here –

DESCRIPTION:The Revlon Girl by Neil Anthony Docking is set in Aberfan 8 months after the disaster in which one of the waste tips above the mining village of Aberfan in S Wales slid down the valley killing 144 people\,116 of which were children from the local primary school. \nThe play is about four women who\, having lost their children in the disaster\, wish to bring back some sort of normality into their lives by inviting a representative from the cosmetic company Revlon to give them some beauty tips. \nThe play is full of pathos\, humour and hope. Directed by Paulette Anderson. \nJust turn up at 7:30pm on the day and ask for Paulette!

DESCRIPTION:The Dean Stockdale Quartet.\nMaking a welcome return to Jazz@Davenham are the Dean Stockdale Quartet who wowed the audience when they last played in 2023. \nThe Celebrating Oscar Quartet is a relatively new quartet playing inventive arrangements of Oscar Peterson’s original compositions together with music that he was associated with. \nDean Stockdale is a highly regarded jazz pianist\, arranger and composer based in the North of England. He is known for his sensitive\, swinging style and regularly appears around the UK  with some of the best names in UK jazz. He’s since released many albums of literate autobiographical pop music over a twenty+ year career touring band\, solo and duo shows in the UK\, Ireland\, Europe and the US. Variously described as \n\n“an under sung national treasure” (UNCUT)\n“a warm- hearted Morrissey” (Q Magazine) and\n“the missing link between Jarvis Cocker and Roger McGough” (Irish Times)\n\nPast work associations include Bill Drummond (KLF) and his various bands have included ex members of The Smiths\, OASIS\, Aztec Camera & The Fall.
