The Ballad of Wallis Island charms with its gentle, understated approach, featuring spectacular performances from Tim Key, Carey Mulligan and Tom Basden as well as impressive folk music that serves as the emotional language between the complex, authentic characters. The heartfelt story uplifts without manipulation, creating genuine warmth and hope.
