Folk MG Boulter

18th November 2022 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

MG says:

I’ve been working on this for a long time so I am pleased to finally shout about this special autumn/winter tour. Joined by stellar musicians and friends including Harriet Bradshaw and Bryan Styles (The Owl Service). A huge thanks to Arts Council England , Laughing Dog Music and Hudson Records for all their help in getting this off the ground. See you in the autumn!

This is MG’s third visit to Davenham and second visit to the Davenham Players Theatre. M G Boulter is a singer songwriter living on the Thames coast in Essex, United Kingdom. His song-writing has been described as “Gorgeous, in a word” by Uncut and “Highly Recommended” by the Independent on Sunday. His second full length album With Wolves the Lamb Will Lie was listed as one of the ‘Best Folk Albums of 2016’ by the Daily Telegraph.

M G has been a member of Blue Rose Code, Emily Portman’s Coracle Band and The Lucky Strikes and was a touring member of US groups The Duke and the King and the Simone Felice Group.

Expect the night to draw from M G’s latest EP A Shadow Falls Over New Brighton [2022] and CD Clifftown [2021] plus others from his extensive back catalogue.

“He’s a major talent in my opinion. It’s an outstanding album – it’s the best new record I’ve heard all year. Well done M G, you can come play in my kitchen any time” Andy Kershaw
