Soho-ite Grant is a novelist, screenwriter & actor. As an actor he’s had many TV and film roles – his credits include Eastenders, Holby City, Doctors, Midsomer Murders, Casualty, Kingsman, Florence Foster Jenkins, and many, many more. His debut novel tells the story of an unusal boy adopted by well-meaning parents who are anxious to conform. James has landed in the wrong nest – he enters a family where any wrong can be righted by a half-hearted trip to church. His imagination comes to his rescue in the form of an invisible friend, David, but then he meets a real-life David. But as James becomes more sociable he also becomes more vulnerable. Once hurt, his revenge leads to an act which shocks his community and breaks the hearts of his parents.
