Hi everyone

Just to let you know about my forthcoming production of The Importance of Being Earnest in the hope that I can entice you to come along to audition for a part.

The cast is made up of 4 females and 4/5 males as follows:

HON.  GWENDOLEN FAIRFAX, a well educated, smart and sophisticated young lady of approx. 25 yrs.  She is anxious to find a husband by the name of Ernest.

ALGERNON MONCRIEF, 30ish, nephew of Lady B., lives almost entirely for pleasure.

JACK WORTHING JP, Algernon’s older (35/40) friend.  He is more worldly wise than A.I and is Guardian to his ward:

CECILY CARDEW (19 yrs.) is a naive country girl who imagines that she engaged to a person called Ernest.

MISS PRISM, Cecily’s Governess.  A spinster who is attracted to:

CANON CHASUBLE DD,  a middle-aged Churchman who has never been married. He is very straightlaced.

LANE, Algernon’s Butler.

MERRIMAN, JACK’S Manservant  (or possibly Maid).

*  Lady B needs to be of an age that makes it possible for to have given birth to G.

I’m sure that you will all be familiar with this play but if you do need any more info, please do ask.
